Russia's ag product exports rise 9.6% to $10.9 bln Jan 1–May 16

MOSCOW, May 19 (PRIME) -- Russia's exports of agricultural products increased 9.6% on the year to U.S. $10.894 billion in January 1–May 16, the Agroexport center for agricultural product exports of the Agriculture Ministry said on Wednesday.

Exports of grain grew 2.6% to $3.338 billion, of fish and seafood shrank 9.2% to $1.555 billion, and of vegetable oil and fats soared 48.4% to $2.694 billion. Exports of food and processing industry products decreased 1.3% to $1.343 billion, while of meat and dairy products went up 20.9% to $440 million.

China, Turkey, and the E.U. were the biggest importers of Russia’s farm products with the shares of 13.8%, 13.3%, and 11.1%, respectively.
